A Spring Update
The season of new beginnings
Can you believe we’re over a quarter of the way through 2024 already! The clocks have gone forward, days are getting longer and between the downpours, there’s definitely the feeling of spring in the air. I’m really looking forward to the lighter evenings and the opportunity to spend more time outdoors.
Thanks for joining me for my latest newsletter. As always, expect to see some snippets of my visual scribing and graphic facilitation work alongside things I’ve been inspired by lately.
Connecting Through Drawing, Music and Chocolate
I ended last month with a trip to Europe to live scribe at a 3-day global conference for HR leaders. During this time I captured digital illustrations and created a 7-metre pen on paper graphic wall!
I particularly enjoyed capturing visuals as 100 delegates took part in a djembe drumming workshop designed to foster collaboration and deepen listening. Music and drawing always manage to bring the vibes. And just look at that tea break chocolate.
Thank you John for the feedback:
“Esther provided an outstanding, vivid tapestry of our HR conference and described the key moments in a much more engaging way than a multi-page PowerPoint could ever do. Recommended.” (Client Feedback)
Spring Forward
In March I launched my Spring Forward Workshop. A nurturing and transformative 1-2-1 online workshop designed to help you craft a visual roadmap to take you through to 2025 🌷
I have been delighted to receive some fantastic feedback from this new concept and will be running more sessions throughout May so there’s still time to contact me if you would like to book!
“…There is something fabulously useful & impactful about Esther guiding you & her creatively drawing as we go, producing a wonderful visual of your vision & plan. She asks the questions to get you clear & so skilfully draws out the key parts, converting them into wonderful visual images.” (Claire Palmer - Master Certified Coach)
Hastings Youth Commons
One of the highlights of my year so far has been facilitating Vision and Planning workshops for Hastings Youth Commons. The energy from the young people during these workshops was infectious.
Hastings Youth Commons have their sights set on something BIG for the young people of Hastings!
Project Art Works
I continue my work with the Support Collective at Project Art Works, facilitating Pathway workshops with neurodivergent people and their circles of support. PATH is a globally recognised inclusive, person-centred planning methodology. PATH stands for Planning Alternative Tomorrows with Hope.

Common Clay
I had the pleasure of working with Common Clay and delivered a three year Vision and Strategy Workshop for their team. Recently, Common Clay received funding from Arts Council England. As part of their initiative, they offer residencies to artists from low socio-economic backgrounds, providing them access to ceramic facilities they may not otherwise have.

Chimo Trust
Collaborating with Chimo Trust at their Summit at the Royal Institute in London revealed the pioneering work organisations up and down the country are doing to support young people. Chimo invest in charities that combine the arts, nature or sport with psychological, social and emotional guidance to holistically help young people experiencing mental health challenges.

“Myself and my fellow Chimo Trust Trustees hired Esther to do the Live Illustration minutes for our Inaugural Youth Mental Health Summit. Esther is immensely talented and executed the task brilliantly and we were so pleased with the final product. Her disposition was great, she was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her work!” (Dr Ally Jaffee MBChB BSc, Multi-Award Winning NHS Doctor & Trainee Psychiatrist ft. Channel 4/ BBC/The Times. Nutritank Co-Founder. Patient & Mental Health Speaker.)
Lastly, we celebrated International Women’s Day in March which was an opportunity for me to celebrate some of the wonderful women who I’ve been honoured to work with, women who inspire me and make life sing! Check out my Instagram post!
Out and about…
I took part in a fabulous Gelli printing workshop led by artist Claire Land in Alexandra Park Greenhouse, Hastings (I love this venue so much.) Gelli printing is an immensely satisfying process and such a mindful way of creating art. My neighbour Amy and I didn’t want to leave.
